The Smith River Rancheria Economic Development Department is funded by a grant from the Administration for Native Americans; Social and Economic Development Services (ANA-SEDS).

Our primary goals are to research and implement sustainable Economic Development projects for Smith River Rancheria and provide training and employment services and opportunities for our Tribal members.

Services Offered

Services offered at Smith River Rancheria's Economic Development Department include assistance with your job search, assistance in resume writing and job applications, Job Skills Inventory, creation of Personal Employment Development Plans and referrals to resources in your area that offer other training, education and work readiness services.

How To Access Services

Don Kittson, Economic Development Director, is available to discuss proposed Economic Development ventures. Current projects under development include the Lucky 7 Fuel Mart, a fueling station and convenience store, an expansion of the Lucky 7 Casino and Howonquet Lodge, a 100 unit, full amenity hotel.
