What is your Dream Job?

A Personal Employment Development Plan (PEDP) is an individual strategy designed to help you reach your employment goals.  It is an inclusive document with specific steps to complete that will result in a job, a self-employment enterprise, or any other educational or vocational goal you choose.

Components of your PEDP may include any combination of the following elements:
  • Completion of a High School Diploma
  • Attending Job Skills Training
  • Preparation of a Resume
  • Skill/Aptitude Testing
  • Job Interview Practice
  • College or Vocational School Attendance
  • Applying for Financial Aid
  • Research of Self-Employment Options
  • Development of a Business Plan
  • Applying for a Business Loan

In addition to the PEDP, Ms. Perry,  the Employment Development Director is available to coordinate resources with you.  Many people are eligible to receive services through their local Workforce Investment Act service provider, State Employment Development Department, State Department of Rehabilitation, Veteran's Service Office and Human Services agencies.  Getting services through these sources can be valuable components of your PEDP, but the process can be frustrating.   Ms. Perry has extensive experience dealing with government agencies and can assist you with paperwork and the application process.

Ms. Perry worked for the Del Norte County Department of Social Services for over 8 years.
